A photograph of the House on Crutches museum - showing the crutches!First established in 1993, the House on Crutches Museum is situated in a remarkable timber framed building and houses an extensive social history collection covering all aspects of this South Shropshire community.

The story of this unique town is told through displays of local artefacts and memorabilia, temporary exhibits and through the sharing of knowledge by its team of enthusiastic volunteers.

To date the Museum has 4 galleries devoted to local businesses, domestic life, childhood and agriculture. More details can be seen by clicking the links or images below

The Museum’s official opening times are as follows:

Easter – October, Saturday and Sundays 1 - 5 pm

Bank Holidays 1 - 5 pm

Thursdays 1 - 5 pm throughout the school summer holidays

Group visits to the above Museums and BCHRC are welcome outside opening times subject to prior booking.
