Be a History Detective
In addition to collaborative projects with individual schools BCHRC also undertakes an annual competition open to all local students. One such competition was our ‘Be a History Detective’ run in conjunction with SWSHAS (South West Shropshire Historical and Archaeological Society). Children were asked to be local history detectives and to find out about the history of their own school. The excellent project material produced was then included in SWSHAS exhibition on local schools and viewed by the general public during Bishop’s castle’s annual Michaelmas Fair.
